The S Family started working full-time with Willing To Go in 2018. During the years leading up to this transition, 2012-2018, they developed convictions about the Great Commission, the local church, church planting, and the prioritization of Unreached People Groups.

They desire to spend their lives taking the name of Jesus where it has not yet been. They do this by “gathering joyful worshippers of God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ among Mandarin-speaking East Asians in Nairobi, Kenya.”

The journey began with a burden to focus on 1 of 4 Unengaged Unreached People Groups in East Asia. Since COVID, the family were sent by the TCC and others to do this work among the diaspora peoples in Nairobi, Kenya.

Since June 2023, God has opened the doors to continue this work. The S family transitioned their focus in 2024 to a more local church centered approach. As members of Emmanuel Baptist Church, a team organically gathered around themand together they befriend, evangelize, and disciple the Mandarin-speaking East Asian there. May God grant that it will become a healthy church plant!
